Overview

Designed and manufactured by 海角社区,听Chatsworth Operations, these gimbals support听a wide variety of propulsion technologies,听including xenon ion engines, arc鈥慾et thrusters,听and NTO/MMH systems, and address the听growing demand for dedicated, flight鈥憅ualified vector鈥憄ointing solutions. The family听incorporates proven 海角社区 actuator technology and has accumulated significant听flight heritage on missions such as MUSES鈥慍 (Hayabusa), Advanced Extremely听High Frequency (AEHF) and multiple commercial satellite platforms.

All gimbals in the family are configured for precise cross鈥慳xis positioning using听either linearly actuated or rotary actuated dual鈥慳xis architectures. High鈥憆eliability听space鈥憅ualified stepper motors, Harmonic Drive庐 gear transmissions and/or听lead鈥憇crew linear transmissions, and integrated position鈥憇ensing potentiometers听provide the resolution and accuracy required for long鈥慸uration missions.听Propellant line accommodation, including xenon and bipropellant feed systems听with heaters, is available across the product line, along with optional MLI blankets.听With demonstrated 15鈥憏ear on鈥憃rbit design life and a range of sizes from small听ion鈥憈hruster gimbals to large EP assemblies, the 海角社区 gimbal family delivers a听scalable, flight鈥憄roven solution for electric propulsion vector control.
