Biaxial Gimbals
Overview
These听assemblies are built on 海角社区鈥檚 proven听rotary incremental actuator platforms, including听the Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 and Type 5 actuator听families, allowing configurations that range听from compact antenna positioners to robust biaxial systems capable of handling听higher mass payloads. All units provide precise azimuth elevation or X Y axis听positioning and can be tailored to meet mission specific mechanical and electrical听interface requirements.
Hard stops can be incorporated for range defined motion. Cable management听options include flex loop routing, cable wrap drums, and twist capsule based听solutions. A full suite of position feedback devices, potentiometers, optical听encoders, and sine cosine resolvers can be integrated depending on system听needs. Modular construction allows substitution of actuator sizes, mixing of听actuator types in orthogonal configurations, and the integration of RF rotary听joints or launch latching mechanisms. Many configurations are already qualified,听offering cost and schedule advantages, and all units can be driven by the standard听海角社区 Electronic Control Unit or customer supplied electronics. Together, the听family provides a flexible, flight proven solution for precise two axis antenna and听payload positioning.
